Vashon Island is just a ferry ride away from Seattle Washington but it's a entirely different world from the busy city.  You are instantly met with thick forest and it can feel like a surreal and magical place.

 

I created a postcard that showed a fairy tale side of Vashon by collaging a photo I took of the Vashon woods and a historical photo of a woman digging for geoducks on a Vashon beach.
